While we’re on the subject of sound engineering schools, I feel that my search is better justified with the knowledge of just how much a sound engineer really makes. If truth be told, this is also one factor that has buoyed my spirits despite the difficulties I’ve been encountering on my quest.  The perfect institution to provide me with the skills that will genuinely help my brother Andy and his band has eluded me up to now. I need the skills that such an institution, if it does exist, offers.

Sound engineering training, based on what I have read, should provide me with the skills necessary for radio and TV work, as well as cinema, sound recording industries and video production. That’s pretty exciting to me. This means, aside from helping my brother Andy and his band, I can eventually earn more dough if I get really proficient at doing other related jobs. Imagine, as an audio engineering specialist, I’d be able to set up and operate high-tech gizmos, even do servicing and repairing! I just need to enroll for courses at audio engineering schools, technical schools or community colleges…..oh no! This brings me back to my original problem. Earth to Drew—you’re way out of your orbit, boy!

But anyway, it wouldn’t hurt to know how much dough you can make at sound engineering. I’ve learned such specialists make nothing lower than $50,000 annually. Let me ruminate on that a bit folks, my eyes have been seeing too many zeroes.

Recording engineer schools, where are you when poor folks like me need you?

With that much moolah, I could buy a house, or even put up the small recording studio dad’s been planning to build! I really must find a way to make everyone’s wishes come true, if only for my twin brother’s sake. No, for everyone’s sake.

I know if I believe strongly enough, if I cross my fingers hard enough, I can become what I was meant to be. That’s if I don’t get juvenile arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome with all this online search and finger crossing that I’ve been doing lately. This search has gotten me so philosophical all of a sudden, huh?

Well anyway. I wish there was some way to come up with superior sound reproduction and mixing without enrolling in sound engineering schools….so I can start on this huge project which most of my family has been working on, excluding my mom, yeah…there must be a way…..zzzzzzz.
